Check Point Introduces Threat Extraction for Zero Malware in Zero Seconds
Attacks are evolving and increasing every day, however documents still pose one of the highest risks of infection for organizations. According to the Check Point 2014 Security Report, 84% of companies downloaded an infected document in 2013. Companies need to implement stronger defenses against these attacks. The only way to ensure complete protection is to preemptively remove threats by reconstructing documents with known safe elements. Active content, embedded objects and other exploitable content are simultaneously extracted, and the document is then reconstructed without potential threats to provide 100% safe content. With Check Point Threat Extraction, organizations can protect themselves against both known and unknown threats.

Check Point Acquires Hyperwise to Deliver Industry’s First CPU Level Threat Prevention Capabilities
Current approaches to threat prevention have traditionally focused on detecting and blocking malware only after the malware is already active, resulting in an unaddressed threat gap in the earlier phases of attack. With the acquisition of Hyperwise’s advanced technology, Check Point will now address this gap by enabling the detection of threats at the pre-infection stage. The integration of CPU level Threat Prevention will block previously undetected attacks and should increase Check Point’s industry-leading Threat Emulation malware catch rates.
Media Alert: Check Point Researchers Discover ISP Vulnerabilities that Hackers Could Use to Take Over Millions of Consumer Interne...
Researchers in Check Point’s Malware and Vulnerability Research Group uncovered a number of critical zero-day vulnerabilities that might have resulted in the compromise of millions of homes and business worldwide, through flaws in several TR-069 server implementations. Once compromised, the malicious exploitation could have led to massive malware infections, illegal mass-surveillance and privacy invasions, and/or service interruptions, including the disabling of an ISP’s Internet service. Attackers could also steal personal and financial data from huge numbers of businesses and consumers.
